Author Guidelines

1. General Submission Criteria

  • Originality: JBAS accepts only original research articles, critical reviews, and conference proceedings. Submissions must not have been previously published or be under consideration by any other journal.

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English or Arabic.

  • File Format: Submissions must be uploaded as a single Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).

  • Plagiarism Policy: All manuscripts are checked via anti-plagiarism software. JBAS maintains a strict threshold; manuscripts with a similarity index greater than 20% or any single source match greater than 5% will be rejected immediately at the editorial desk.

2. Manuscript Formatting & Layout

  • Page Layout: Standard A4 size, with 2.54 cm (1 inch) margins on all sides.

  • Typography: Use Times New Roman font throughout.

    • Main Title: 14pt, Bold, Centered.

    • Section Headings (H1): 13pt, Bold, Left-aligned.

    • Sub-headings (H2): 12pt, Bold.

    • Sub-headings (H3): 11pt, Bold, Italic.

    • Body Text: 11pt, Regular, Justified.

  • Line Spacing: 1.5 line spacing with a 12pt space after paragraphs. Pages and lines must be numbered continuously to facilitate the peer review process.

3. Structure of the Manuscript

  1. Title Page: Must include a descriptive title, full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and the email address of the designated corresponding author.

  2. Abstract: A single, unstructured paragraph between 150 and 250 words. It must clearly state the research objective, methodology, key results, and primary conclusions. Do not include citations or abbreviations.

  3. Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 specific keywords below the abstract, separated by semicolons.

  4. Main Body: Organised into clear sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, and Conclusion.

  5. Declarations: Include brief statements for Acknowledgments, Funding Sources, and Conflicts of Interest before the reference list.

4. References & Citation Style

  • Citation System: JBAS utilizes a numerical citation style (Vancouver/IEEE standard). In the text, references must be cited using Arabic numerals enclosed in square brackets, sequentially in the order of appearance (e.g., [1], [2, 3]).

  • Reference List Formatting: Provide the full list of references at the end of the manuscript in numerical order. Include DOI links wherever available.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  • The research must be original and must not have been previously published or submitted for publication in any other journal or conference at the same time.
  • The similarity (quotation) ratio must not exceed 20%, as determined by approved scientific plagiarism detection programs.
  • The research must be written in Arabic or English, with an abstract provided in both languages regardless of the main language of the research.
  • The research must demonstrate scientific integrity in documentation and attribution, and all sources of funding and support, if any, must be acknowledged.
  • All co-authors must agree to the submitted text and to the order of their names before submission.
  • If the research includes data related to individuals or human participants, evidence of obtaining the necessary ethical approval must be attached where applicable.
