Abstract

Preserving and protecting cultural heritage is essential to preserving the history and identity of communities. This requires an understanding of the cultural and historical value of sites and customs. The need for protection and preservation of heritage is increasing, especially in this era that is witnessing natural disasters, rapid climate fluctuations, and increasing natural and environmental challenges, which calls for the need to intensify efforts to protect and preserve cultural and historical heritage through sustainable work, awareness, and encouragement of sustainable tourism because it plays an effective role in supporting these efforts. Emphasizing the importance of community participation and international efforts in this context. All of this is vital to preserving aspects of our identity and history that are exposed to constant risks and challenges. This study seeks to achieve a set of sub-objectives in order to reach the main goal of the study: preserving and protecting heritage in light of climate fluctuations and natural disasters, in addition to reviewing the effects of climate change and natural disasters on heritage sites. And discuss future challenges associated with climate fluctuations and how to overcome them effectively. And highlighting sustainable technologies and policies for heritage preservation in light of these challenges.
Approved methodology: The study seeks to achieve its objectives using the descriptive and analytical approach, as it is the approach that leads to identifying the characteristics of the study population and giving a realistic picture of it, through describing and analyzing the data related to the subject. In addition to relying on various approaches, including anthropology and sociology, as well as relying on the legal approach through mechanisms for preserving and protecting this cultural and historical heritage, in addition to relying on the functional approach as well. We aim to achieve practical results by clarifying the challenges facing heritage as a result of climate fluctuations and natural disasters. Promoting sustainable tourism methods to preserve the environment and heritage. And exchanging experiences and technologies between countries to enhance conservation efforts.
